Give As You Earn - for employees

This scheme is the largest of its kind in the UK. It allows employees to give regularly to their favourite charities directly from their pay. Give As You Earn is a tax-effective way for individuals to give regularly - it costs you less to give us more!
Each time you are paid, a donation is deducted by your payroll department before tax is calculated. This means that you will not have to pay the income tax normally due to the Inland Revenue.

Tax rates applicable 2008/9

Some employers offer ‘matched giving’ schemes where they match or double your gift at no extra cost to you - this means even more money for the charity.

How to set-up a payroll giving donation
Check with your payroll department that your company offers the Payroll Giving Scheme and then decide how much you would like to give each payday.

Throughout the year Salisbury Hospicecare Trust organises, or is involved with, many fundraising activities. Opportunities exist for corporate sponsorship of these events - which can provide team building experiences, customer involvement, evidence of community participation as well as publicity for your company.
